Meet Trish Cook

Your WA Labor Member for Bullwinkel

I became a nurse at 17, following in my mother’s footsteps. Today, I'm proud to be the first federal Member for Bullwinkel, a seat named in honour of WWII hero and Australian Army nurse Lieutenant Colonel Vivian Bullwinkel, the sole survivor of the 1942 Banka Island massacre. I’m also proud to be the 4th midwife and the 10th nurse elected to Parliament.

Before entering Parliament, I was a Mundaring Councillor, championed local projects, volunteered in my community, and have been a proud Hills resident for nearly 20 years.

Nursing has shaped my values of compassion and fairness. I'm excited to care for our community and to deliver for the people of Bullwinkel.
